Design Challenge: The challenge from Maxwell was to design a stretch fabric chair that would be more intuitive to use – and less expensive – to produce.

Design Solution: Our solution was to develop a design language that was formulated around the lightweight breathable fabric and comfortable features. The innovation, based on data gathered from Ramsis, came mostly in the intuitive nature of the adjustments - if you want to raise the armrests you just pull the armrests up, you don't need to find a lever and figure out how it works. The patented lumbar system offers the ability to contour the shape of the lumbar in production requiring less extra parts. With the efficient incorporation of the stretch fabric into the chair's structure, and with the quality of materials and construction, we created a high-end, low-cost, comfortable, great-looking chair designed for long life.
