Design Challenge: To create an image projection system to extend the installation of the "Art of car design" to the outside world of Munich, an "inside/outside invitation". The top section of the museum exhibit wall that houses the sculpture is visible from the streets of Munich. Our task was to design a media presentation to run at night, "inviting" interest from within but seen from outside of the building.

Design Solution: Since the room can be seen from outside at any time of day, it needed to be "awake" and alive at night as well. "Design never sleeps," say all of the designers. Flashing words and mesmerizing images are projected onto the free-formed surface by means of large video projectors. A five minute film was designed specifically for this night time invitation. Passers-by stop at the unusual inside/outside exhibit, and hopefully will return to satisfy their curiosity by day.
