DesignworksUSA and Caltech's Computer Science Department have an on-going collaboration, continually exchanging new insights into design ideation and its digital representation.
Using Caltech's "Surface Drawing", a system for creating organic 3D shapes in a virtual environment, our designers provide critical input on early-stage design processes, and help shape the development of immersive design systems.
DesignworksUSA is home to the only Surface Drawing system outside of Caltech. Our designers have created works featured at major conferences and in the popular media.
