California Innovation Triangle: We Team Up to Dream Up
Our approach: Team up. Dream up. Make it work. A key component to BMW's innovation effort is the California Innovation Triangle, or "CIT." BMW's three California-based development offices, DesignworksUSA, the Palo Alto Technology Office and the Engineering and Emission Test Center in Oxnard, collaborate to generate innovative ideas then realize them in prototypes for evaluation.
These offices all operate independently of one another in their key areas of expertise. They come together to form a unique blend of skills, in a concurrent development innovation process, from technology procurement to physical prototyping.
