The Fast Company 50 has ranked BMW Group DesignworksUSA as the world's "#1 Most Innovative Company in Design," and among the "Most Innovative Companies for 2010." The annual Fast Company 50 appears in the March 2010 issue of Fast Company magazine, and selects the world's most innovative companies from twenty-four categories including design, advertising & marketing, mobile, biotechnology, energy, film & television, food, media, healthcare, music, and sports.

Strategic Design for the Future of the Yacht Industry
Three boat lines, three different characters, one single demand: Emotional design that works. As part of the new design strategy, the new face of the Cruiser Line and its largest sailing yacht, the Cruiser 55, was introduced. The smallest motorboat, the Sport 28 succeeded, and a glance into the future was granted with the presentation of the firstling from the entirely new Deep Blue line. With this mix, BAVARIA opened a new chapter in its corporate history in January 2009. And after almost a year it became obvious that the new models from the existing line were achieving substantially better sales figures. BAVARIA's design-focused approach to realigning the company has paid off, allowing the boat builder to successfully respond to the critical trend in the boat industry.

The headphones successfully communicate SennheiserÍs long heritage in acoustic excellence through sophisticated styling and use of design nuances without compromising comfort and style.

DesignworksUSA wins CES Award for Sennheiser CX 680 design
A first time design collaboration between BMW Group DesignworksUSA and audio specialist Sennheiser has given life to three new ranges of earphones. All three were revealed at the International CES Exhibition in Las Vegas on January 7, 2010, where CX 680 received an International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree title.

Innovation Case Study: Less Is More
Magnus Aspegren, BMW Group DesignworksUSA’s Singapore Studio Director, was invited as a guest speaker on October 10th, 2009 at the Hong Kong Aircraft Interiors Expo. He gave a speech on the future of aircraft interior designs based on the title “Less is More.” Inspirations from the GINA Philosophy were taken to explore future premium passenger experiences in the air.
